"The Fifty-fourth World Health Assembly ... urges member states to strengthen activities and develop new approaches to protect, promote and support exclusive breastfeeding for six months as a global public health recommendation, taking into account the findings of the WHO expert consultation on optimal duration of exclusive breastfeeding, and to provide safe and appropriate complementary foods, with continued breastfeeding for up to two years of age or beyond..."

"Still" nursing after age two? Wondering where to find others with questions about nursing your 2 1/2 year old, your 3 year old, your 4 year old? This is the community for you, for all mothers who are 'not weaning yet,' still going strong with breastfeeding. Welcome!

A few notes: This community is for support of other mothers and the choices they make about nursing as their babes grow older. There should be no bashing of others' choices and no bashing of those that have not chosen to keep breastfeeding past their child's second birthday. Please be kind; treat others the way you'd like people to treat you.

This community has moderated membership. It is not for debate. Go elsewhere.
